Why there is no school today...

The streets are not fully plowed...
The parking lots are not fully plowed...
The sidewalks are a glacier...
Several thousand folks are still without power...

I marveled that in a county where they push AP classes like crack, that they don't have the funds to clean the streets. I'm talking BIG commuter arteries here. Forget our cul-de-sac... The stores have done a better job but they push the snow into piles in weird places. I stood on an iceberg 3 feet in the air, crouching at an ATM to get cash...

You gotta wonder....

I'm right there with ya. We haven't even been plowed yet. (already complained Weds after after our neighborhood was plowed but they skipped us - again!) Hrumph. Took Grace to school today - one county away - and it was a world of difference. Gotta make you wonder...why am I paying some of the highest taxes in the area?

This is mostly frustration because I am very thankful we have electricity though. That would have been much worse do deal with.

Interesting and so very true deb. I feel you on this one. Internal reflection is necessary on the county.
