Well friends, this is one of those weeks when I simply must work today, which is normally my day off. I know, I know. We may tut-tut all we want, but the fact is, some weeks are like that. So, this week's F5 is simple: Name five things you plan to do today.
Bonus: If today is about "have-to" for you as well, share up to five things you'd like to be doing today.
Sigh. Today is definitely a "work day" for me. And it's grey, raining and windy. A good day for a cat, a couch and a novel, and maybe a nap. But no... BBS made a fresh pot of coffee (he needed a caffeine jolt too) so that I can get revved up to study.
Today's list includes:
- Finish an analysis of Nehemiah 4 (just have to proof and post it.)
- Read and respond to critiques of my first sermon on-line. (classmates can be such snots.)
- Read textbooks for my classes.
- Work on my research papers. (Biblical women in the post-exilic period, The "sophia" motif in 1 Corinthians 2:6-16, Current trends in spiritual formation in the emergent church)
- Chauffeur daughter and harp to music lesson after school.
- Napping.
- Reading non-classwork books.
- Quilting.
- Playing one of my instruments.
- Napping with the cats. (oops, already mentioned naps!)

This is what I have to look forward to with seminary?! Ugh.
Don't fergit to save some time for the OSU-X game tomorrow...
and then there's the lady bucks too. I had to listen last night via computer hook up..sigh...I wish the rest of the country would get on the buckeye bus...

piano, voice, flute -- and alto horn! (OSU marching band was all brass!) and I have been known to try other instruments as well. Most dismal failures: trombone and violin!

I recently heard quilting described as the one addiction involving a needle that isn't illegal...
I like Fridays to be fun or relaxing...my sympathies on the analysis, critiques, textbooks, research papers, and chauffeuring chores.
I'd pick the "I'd rather be" list too except I don't quilt.

and what kind of car do you have- a harp can't be easy to transport- a cello was bad enough!!!
Fortunately, it's a lever harp not a pedal harp! With folding seats in our Honda Pilot, we can haul a whole lotta stuff. :)
I love the research part -- it is the writing of papers that makes me weary!

Napping and napping with cats are two completely different activities. Napping with cats is interactive. And your dreams are wilder.
Wonderboy is learning the piano. I learned a weensy bit. But I'm much better on the kazoo.

Napping is a great way to recharge,a s some other cultures ahve discovered.
