This week from RevGalBlogPals...
- How old were you when you voted for the first time? 21
- What was the contest at the top of the ballot? Gerald Ford vs. Jimmy Carter (If you are too young to remember, Carter won!)
- Can you walk to your polling place? Yes - about 10 minutes because of all of the backyard fences. Plus, I hate the gauntlet of political gladhanders in the parking lot. If I walk, I can avoid them.
- Have you ever run for public office? NO WAY! I don't like being dissected.
- Have you run for office in a club or school or on a board? Yes, and lost every time. Something about being a woman who speaks her mind...

In your mention of Gerald Ford, he was the only president never elected to that office.
Yup. I remember that, too. :)
I was at the teeny little airport when Carter came to Williamsburg for his debate with Ford. It was exciting to stand there cheering and meet him!
I love that sign generator.
