As a part of this week's RevGalBlogPals Friday Five...
Maybe it's the arrival of crisp October, my favorite month. Or maybe it's the fact that the divine little miss m has been sick all week (and if the baby ain't happy, ain't nobody happy). Whatever the reason, my thoughts have been turning to cozy creature comforts--those activities and spaces that just make a person feel good. And so...
- Comfort beverage: Mmmmm.... warm spiced cider.... or hot lemonade
- Comfort chair: any couch with the "Mommy blanket" (a fake plush fur blanket made for me during my college days and loved by humans and felines alike)
- Comfort read: hard one... but probably Jan Karon's "Mitford" series
- Comfort television/DVD/music: soft Celtic, like Moya Brennan or maybe a little rockin' Chris Rice. TV not so much unless it is football season!
- Comfort companion(s): beloved bearded spouse, purring cats
Makes me want to take a nap on the couch! But no... studying awaits!
From our home to yours...

Hmmm, football as comfort? :-)
But of course! Crowd noise is white noise... and football is part of "home". Makes no sense, but it's true.

yup I actually get the football thing!!!
Yes, Jan Karon is comforting. If life was only so simple. Forgot to mention the afghan over in my blog. I have them all over the house.
I never knew anyone else drank hot lemonade! And we're listening to Maire Brennan right now. Wanna come over?
Ah... hot lemonade... and I can spell "moire brennan" - sigh...
last Advent in Germany I discovered hot citrone (hot lemon juice) which, with a spoon of honey became my DOC (drink of choice) at the Christmas Markets!
And I didn't have this paper I'm procrastinating on, I'd be right over...
OOh I like your comforts, and your companions.
Oooo.... I need me some Mitford today.
Never had hot lemonade before! Bet it is great for a cold!
